Pera Palace

A truly beautiful hotel since 1892. What an experience - arriving with the Orient-Express in Istanbul to  visit this gem. "Murder on the Orient Express" is supposedly written in room 411. The hotel was also a favourite of Ernest Hemingway.

London's first hotel; opened in 1837. That's what you call a stayer -  and a 5* hotel.

Winter Palace Luxor

An opulent palace built in 1886 as a winter retreat for the Egyptian royal family. This is the hotel in Egypt that Agatha wrote "Death on the Nile".
